About The Community Of The Holy Spirit

We Live, We Love,
We Serve

The church is people and not a place.  It is a redemptive community of people gathered out of each nation, kindred, tribe, and tongue.  It is a  therapeutic community where healing, restoration, and reconciliation occur.    Its strength rests in its doctrines, spiritual ministry, and relationships. And its identity rests in its origin, commission,  and mission.  It is called, in worship and work, to know Him and make Him known.

Bishop Kirby Clements and Pastor Sandra Clements founded this church in 2010 after almost 30 years in ministry, traveling the world to deliver the truth of the Gospel.

To communicate and demonstrate the principles, precepts, and power of the name of Jesus and the Kingdom of God

Foundational Belief

We embrace the theology of the Apostolic and Early Church Fathers and the creeds of the historic Christian Church.  The Church of the  Lord Jesus is "one body with one Spirit, Lord, and one faith."    We adhere to the authority of Scripture, the deity of Christ, and salvation through faith in the atoning work of Christ.  Our worship and ministry are "Charismatic", partaking of the power of the Holy Spirit and exercising the biblical gifts given to the Church.  Christ Jesus is central to our worship and practices and He is Lord of our lives, the Head of the Church, and the King of His kingdom.  Christ is in us and we are in the world reaching the lost, continuing His work, and demonstrating His kingdom on earth.  We are in covenant with God in accomplishing His purposes on earth through the benefits and privileges of the atoning work of Christ.  The Church, as people and not place, is a therapeutic community with a practical theology that enables its members to restore man, the earth, and the universe back to God's original plan and purpose.  The central issue and concern of God in Scripture is His righteous rule in heaven and on earth.  Therefore, the Church is the embassy of the Kingdom of God on earth and must proclaim Christ as both Savior and Lord of all.

She worked as a high school Social Science teacher, coordinated an in-hospital patient educational and volunteer training program, and served as program coordinator at D.C general hospital In Washington. She also served as a program coordinator for the United States Agency for International Development, which provides economic and humanitarian assistance worldwide. Additionally, she has functioned as a consultant for several notable social organizations and planned seminars, and workshops as it relates to Creational order and the Kingdom of God. Still dedicated to her family, she currently manages the office for her husband’s dental practice.

Sandra manages her husband's dental practice and works as part of the empowerment network. Another passion of hers is to see healthy families, being a dedicated mother and grandmother wanting to share her experiences and wisdom she has developed a seminar series called "A Celebration of Motherhood." Her future plans are to celebrate parenting as a primary function for healthy families of which she has written a popular book titled "Her Name is Mother."

Another pivotal role that she plays is co-laboring with Bishop Kirby in ministry, sharing with him the pastorate of the church, The Community of the Holy Spirit, as well as traveling together teaching and preaching on the Kingdom of God and Creational order.

Sadly, Sandra departed this life in peace while surrounded by all of our family in June 2015. She serves now as part of a transcendent team that is in heaven and on earth.
